Forgets by default
Is it normal for my 4-year-old to still wake up twice a night?

Very common at four. A steady wind-down routine usually settles it within a week or two.

Knowledgebooks. Your knowledge, put to work.

Every chat still clears — in 8 hours by default. What’s worth keeping goes into a Knowledgebook: a living document of what you know, written in plain words, that only changes when you say so. Open any line to see where it came from. Remove it in a tap.

And later: they travel.

Choose what another assistant can read: your People and Lifestyle, say. It answers like it knows you too, and you can stop sharing any time. Your other Knowledgebooks stay home.

5.0 on the App Store
I uploaded my family's estate plan to ChatGPT. Instant regret. Ask Safely is the only AI I'd trust with anything I wouldn't say out loud in a coffee shop.
Data-aware parent
I started using Ask Safely for sensitive questions. Now it's my daily driver for everything: writing, research, translation. I stopped opening ChatGPT.
Former AI skeptic
The app actually helped me create a resume for a job that I just recently got. I use it all the time. Very informative and straight to the point.

Questions, answered.

What happens to my chats?

They auto-delete after a window you choose: 8 hours, 7 days, or 30 days. 8 hours is the default. Nothing is kept unless you save it to your memory.

Is it as good as ChatGPT?

It runs on Anthropic's Claude, including Opus 4.8, the model professionals reach for first. Ask Safely picks the right Claude model for every question automatically.

How does the 30-day trial work?

Upgrade to Expert and your first 30 days are free. A credit card is required; after the trial it's $20/month or $200/year unless you cancel. The free Essential plan stays free either way.

What are Experts?

Four focused helpers. Lookout gives you a second look before you act. Writer drafts emails and notes in your voice. Researcher looks things up fast. Troubleshooter walks you through a fix. Each one uses only what you chose to share.

Do you train on my data?

No. Never. Your conversations are AES-256 encrypted, never used to train AI, and never sold, shared, or rented. Subscriptions are our only business model.

If everything deletes, how does it remember anything about me?

It doesn't, unless you save something to your memory. That's a separate, transparent space you write to deliberately. You can see, edit, or delete every entry at any time.
